Selvish Capers
OT
West Virginia
The journey of Selvish Capers goes from below sea level in his hometown of Kenner, La., to the top of the mountains in West Virginia. Capers quickly went from being almost invisible on West Virginia's depth chart to emerging as one of the country's top offensive linemen. How did it happen? Capers was converted from tight end to offensive tackle before the 2007 season. This year, he is switching positions again, moving from right to left tackle to protect QB Jarrett Brown. Left tackle, however, may present a challenge because most Big East teams play their best defensive end on the right side -- such as Pittsburgh's Greg Romeus. Will the player referred to as a "Gentle Giant" be able to get nasty at left tackle?
